A folk music legend, Sylvia Tyson’s impact on popular culture is immeasurable. A pillar of the Greenwich Village folk scene from 1959 through the 60’s as half of the groundbreaking duo Ian & Sylvia, they headlined NYC’s Carnegie Hall and topped the Billboard charts, all the while championing Village contemporaries Bob Dylan & Gordon Lightfoot by being the first popular artists to record their songs. Her own song “You Were On My Mind” and Ian’s “Four Strong Winds” became standards and were covered by dozens of popular artists.

“It’s the good times I remember at the end of the day,” sings Sylvia Tyson on her new album, a collection of songs that look backward across a life well-lived, and offer advice for those just starting their journey. She sings of memories, family histories and lost loves, while also offering pragmatic advice for how to handle love and rough times. It’s an album she could only write now, after a lifetime of honing her craft and studying human nature as a revered songwriter. With her voice still as uniquely recognizable as only her own. “At The End Of The Day is my last album”, Sylvia tells her label.

Sylvia Tyson is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Order of Canada, noted author, and television broadcast host and producer.
